Bokeh stamping with Lavinia Stamps

Today I’ll show you a technique that originated in the world of photography.

Bokeh technique, or bokeh stamping. This technique is very similar to light areas that you can see in pictures where a dreamlike atmosphere is created.

This can also be reached with the punch technique on paper.
Firstly I edited my aquarelle paper with distress ink.
You must first let it dry before you apply the following technique.
I’ve cutted with my dies circles out of  packaging / plastic boxes.
I then cut out small squares of sponge (scouring pad). And uses it as a tool to plugging along.

You do not really buy tools, but you can make them yourself.

I used the template particles with white memento-ink.

I stamped very lightly and occasionally applied to paper.

This way you get the Bokeh technique.

This I leave to dry (because the white ink will still remain long wet).

I then used my Misty Tool the Lavinia Stamps. I decided to use the floral silhouettes.

I then made a harmonica card.

I would like to participate with the next challenge:

Hallo Allemaal,

Mijn jongste dochter heeft onlangs haar partijtje gevierd n.a.v.

haar 6e verjaardag.

Groetjes Sylvia

Red Riding Hood

Hi there,

Today I want to share 2 little mixed media cards with the cute

digital stamps of Red Riding Hood.

Are’nt they the cutest?

I’ve colored the little ones with distress inks.

I added some sparkles on the boots, the flame of the candle and

the little blue bow in the hair of the girl.

It is a shame that the lighting was not good, because of the weather.

I have fuzzy cutted the girls.

The background papers are made by me…with distress inks, and

with some modeling paste and aqrylic paints and stencils.

I hope you like the little cards.

These are just perfect for a little note.

Big hugs,

“Little Talks”

Hello everybody,

Today I want to share “Little Talks”.

I just love owls.

I have colored the image with distress inks.

Than I embossed it with clear embossing powder in 5 layers.

Than I put the image for 10 minutes in the freezer.

After that, I could make the crackles.

(wet embossing)

To give it some vintage feel, I added some vintage photo distress inks into the crackles.

The background papers is made with distress inks.

Than I embossed it.

(dry embossing)

And to give it some extra dimension, I embossed it with gold embossing powder.

(wet embossing)

As you can see, I have used the dry embossing and the wet embossing technique.

I hope you like this card.

See you next time.

Big hugs,

“Life is Sweet”

Hallo Allemaal,

Vandaag wil ik een heel zoet kaartje met jullie delen.

Ik heb het kaartje vrij simpel gehouden zodat het
plaatje er mooi uitspringt.

Ik heb het stempelafdrukje ingekleurd met
Faber Castell Polychromos Potloden.

andere Design Team Leden.
En natuurlijk mag jij je creaties ook laten zien, mits
je de materialen hebt gebruikt die je via CreaMiep Webwinkel
hebt aangeschaft.

Ik zie jullie graag de volgende keer weer!

Creatieve groetjes van

“Rose with Thorns”

Hello everybody,

Today it is my turn to inspire you with a beautiful digital stamp
from Ching-Chou Kuik.

This is “Rose with Thorns”

I have colored her up with distress inks.
After I colored her up, I have distressed the backing and
I used a stencil mask from memory to give it some interests onto it.

The backingpapers I have made with distress inks and
ofcourse with a dutch doobadoo stencil mask.

The corner dies are from CreaLies.
I added some gemstones to give it a vintage feeling.

Pocket Letter “Keep in Faith”

Hello everybody,

Today I want to share a Mixed Media themed Pocket Letter.
I have used the image “Keep in Faith” and colored
her up with my distress inks.

All the cards inside the pockets are made with distress inks,
aqrylic paints with modeling paste to add some dimension.
I also used a lot of scrap papers and stamps.
The sunflowers are made from coffeefilters that I have
colored with distress inks.

The image is centered in the middle and I have used
my new tool, the fuse tool to add some sequins in the pocket.
I sealed this pocket, so that the sequins will not escape LOL.

I hope you will like this inspiration post.

Inspiration Post “Red Poppies”

Hello everybody,

Today is my turn to show you a inspiration post
with the gorgeous image “Red Poppies”.

I colored the image with distress inks.
I like my cards simple and clean.
But… this week we all had to add at least
2 ribbons onto the card or project.
Okay… It was a search into my stash thingy for me…
I don’t own that much ribbons…

I added a lace ribbon with bakertwine.
And I like the way it turned out.

I fuzzy cutted the image, and let it popped out
with some 3-d foam tape.

I hope you like my inspiration post.

You can also add your own creations on the
Ching-Chou Kuik’s Digital Stamps FB-group
and join the monthly challenges over there.

We also have a monthly challenge going on this month.
And the topic is “Valentine”
You can find it over HERE.

See you next time.

“Love Birds”

Hello Crafty People,

Well, this month is all about LOVE!

The monthly challenge has the LOVE theme all over.

That’s why we have all created a project/card with

something that describes LOVE.

Okay.. enough talking about LOVE!

This is “Love Birds”.

I colored her up with my distress markers.

The background papers are made with distress inks and

a stencil mask from Dutch Doobadoo.

The cut out corners are from CreaLies.

I so love them.

Just to give it a bit of sparkles, I’ve added some pearls onto it.

Well… this was my inspiration for this week.

I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
